The LM2596 DC-DC Adjustable Buck Module/Buck Converter offers a range of features that enhance its functionality and user-friendliness. Equipped with a voltmeter display, the module provides voltage measurement with an error of ±0.1V and a range of 0~40V. However, it is important to note that when the input voltage is lower than 4V, the onboard voltmeter will not function and will not display any readings.

One of the key features of this product is the ability to switch between measuring the input or output voltage by tapping the button. An indicator light is provided to show which voltage is being measured, and the last setting is retained even if the power is turned off and then turned on again.

Another feature that adds to the module's versatility is the ability to turn off the voltmeter. This can be achieved by pressing and holding the switch for more than 1 second and less than 4 seconds, and then releasing it to turn off the voltmeter.

The module also offers an input and output voltage measurement error calibration function. To access this feature, the user needs to press and hold the switch for more than 4 seconds, after which the digital tube will start flashing to display the voltage reference value (ranging from 2.45~2.60). At this point, the user can short-press the button to cycle through the reference values. If the voltmeter is displaying a voltage that is too high, the user should lower the reference value, and if the voltage is too low, the user should increase the reference value. Once the desired reference value is set, the user should press and hold the button for more than 2 seconds. After releasing the button, the set value will be saved, and the voltage will return to the normal display. The set correction value will take effect immediately and will not be lost even after a power failure.

The LM2596 DC-DC Adjustable Buck Module/Buck Converter accepts an input voltage range of 4.0~40V, with the input voltage required to be at least 1V higher than the output voltage. The adjustable output voltage range is 1.25V~37V, which can be continuously adjusted, as long as the input voltage is at least 1V higher than the desired output voltage. The output current can reach up to 3A, with the normal stable working current being 2A.

The module utilizes a 150KHz internal oscillation frequency, which places it in the second generation of switching voltage regulators, providing low power consumption and high efficiency.

In terms of product parameters, the input voltage range is 2.5V~40V, the output voltage range is 1.25V~37V (adjustable), the output current is 3A (maximum), the conversion efficiency is up to 92% (highest), the output ripple is less than 30mV, the switching frequency is 150KHz, and the operating temperature range is -45°C to +85°C.

It is important to note that the maximum output current of 3A should not be exceeded, and it is recommended to use a heat sink if the current exceeds 2A. Additionally, if the output voltage cannot be adjusted and is always equal to the input voltage, the user should turn the potentiometer counterclockwise for more than 10 turns, as the default output voltage from the factory is around 20V.
